AI agents and automation
Tell an assistant the job. Get a draft invoice.
Say "2018 CR-V, two front struts" to the AI assistant you already use. It finds the customer, prices the parts with your markup, and leaves a draft for you to approve.
What changes
Quotes start before you reach the desk
Your assistant does the lookups and the typing. You review the draft and send it.
- Your prices, not the bot's
- Parts get your parts matrix markup. Labor gets your shop rate times book hours.
- Nothing goes out unreviewed
- Invoices are created as drafts. A person on your team opens the link and sends it.
- You choose what it can do
- Give a key read-only access, or let it write drafts. Revoke it in one click.
- Works with the assistant you use
- Any assistant that speaks MCP can connect. Claude, Grok, Groq, Cursor, and n8n all do.

How it works
Connected in about five minutes
You need an Established plan and an assistant that supports MCP servers.
Create a key
Go to Settings, then Integrations, then API and AI Agents. Name the key and pick what it may do.
Copy it once
The key is shown one time. The page also gives you a config you can paste.
Add it to your assistant
Point your assistant at the Repair Receipts MCP server with the key. The developer docs show each setup.
Ask for the job
Describe the work in plain words. Open the draft link it returns, check it, and send.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants use outside tools. Repair Receipts runs an MCP server, so any assistant that supports MCP can work in your shop with a key you control.
Can the assistant send an invoice to my customer on its own?
No. Invoices it creates are drafts. Someone on your team opens the draft, checks it, and sends it. Signature links are only available to keys you give the send permission.
Where do the prices come from?
From your own settings. Parts are marked up with your parts matrix, labor uses your shop labor rate and book labor hours, and your default taxes are applied. If the assistant is given a price, it uses that price instead.
Can it see other shops' data?
No. A key works only inside the shop it was created in, and it can only see what the person who created it can see. Revoking the key stops it right away.
Which plan do I need?
API keys and AI agent access are on the Established plan at $44.99/month. The free plan covers unlimited estimates and invoices.
I'm a developer. Where are the technical docs?
The developer docs at repair-receipts.com/docs/mcp cover the endpoint, authentication, permissions, every tool, and setup for Claude, Grok, Groq, and curl.
